Thank you to all who helped make our Mission Festival such a wonderful event. Special thanks to Chad & Elizabeth Krutz and our teens for handling the serving duties.

Ladies' Aid News

Our Annual Christmas Party will be held on Wednesday, December 2nd, at Meyer’s Restaurant on S. 76th St. Members and guests may arrive at 11:00 A.M. Lunch will be served at 11:45.Christmas songs, fellowship and fun will take place after lunch. If anyone needs a ride, please contact either Betty or Kaye.

Food Donation

Please consider donating non-perishable food items (such as canned goods, boxed goods such as cereal and the like, pastas, etc.) for the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. The Almoner will be collecting these items and distributing them to those who need them, as directed by the pastors. You may place your items in a box in either the school hallway/entryway, or in the church coatroom. This is an excellent way for us to show our love for Jesus, because of what He’s done for us, by helping those around us who need help. Please see Matthew 25:35, 37, and 40; and Galatians 6:10.

Almoner's Fund

What happens when I give money to the “Almoner’s Fund”? Money given here is used for short-term help for our members in need, usually in the form of food certificates. Also each month the Almoner’s Fund makes regular financial gifts to Northside Lutheran Ministries, Southside Lutheran Ministries, St. Marcus Food Pantries, WELS Committee on Relief and Good Samaritan Outreach. Four of these organizations help people in our greater Milwaukee community who find themselves in financial need. The WELS Committee on Relief sends financial aid to the areas of the country or world which have experienced disasters in the hope of getting a chance to share the Gospel.
